Parker Pneumatic
45 Series ISO Air Valves (Discontinued)

Historical Record of the 45 Series

The ‘45’ Series was introduced in 1974 as a manifold and subbase mount valve. The series consisted of the 4510, 4520 and 4530 valves. The design was based on the ISO 5599 Valve Interface, which consisted of 5599-1 for units without an electrical plug in the base, and 5599-2 for units with a plug in the base (Figure A & B). The ISO 5599 standard cover 6 different valve sizes, 1 thru 6. The 4510, 4520, & 4530 corresponds to sizes 2, 3, and 4.

The 5599-1 version of the ‘45’ Series met all requirements of the ISO 5599-1 standard. The valve to base interface is correct. The 5599-1 version of the ‘45’ Series was either a Remote Pilot or a 30mm Square 3-Pin DIN 43650A electrical connector (Figure C). Currently, ALL 5599-1 versions of the ‘45’ Series are replaced by the Parker ‘H’ ISO Valve series.

The 5599-2 version of the ‘45’ Series met the interface requirements of the ISO 5599-2 standard, but did NOT meet the Electrical Plug-In pin designations of the ISO 5599-2 standard (Figure D). The electrical pin designations in the ISO standard were adopted in 1990, 15 years AFTER the ‘45’ Series was introduced. Do to this change in the electrical pin designations, the plug-in version of the ‘45’ Series is NOT to the ISO 5599-2 standard.
